Education is the key to success is a theme that was always encouraged and fostered while growing up. Jolleen’s educational journey began at St. Mary’s Anglican Primary School where she graduated in the top three of her class. She then attended Anglican Cathedral College and graduated as the Salutatorian for her graduating class. Jolleen pursued further education at then Belize Technical College where she graduated with an Associate Degree in Business Administration. She then enrolled at the University College of Belize and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration in
1999. She later completed a Certificate in Primary Education from the University of Belize to attain pedagogical skills. She has always remained a dedicated scholar with honour roll grades. Most of her siblings have also become veteran educators in Belize.
Jolleen Arnold – Std 3
Jolleen is the youngest of nine children for her parents. She grew up in an Anglican family where church and education was paramount.
Jolleen worked as a Social Worker, heading the Child Placement and Specialized Services Team at the Department of Human Services for nine years. Her work experience has enabled her to attend several local and international training as well as completing courses in Counselling, Social Work and the Law.
In 2009, she applied to the Anglican Diocese of Belize to become a Teacher and was placed at All Saint’s Anglican School. In her eleven years teaching experience at the school, Jolleen has taught class levels of Standard 1 – 3. She enjoys making a difference in the lives of children and encourages them with another one of her quotes: Never settle for anything less than your best.
