She started school when she was five years old. She went to pre-school, straight through primary school, and went to Belmopan Comprehensive High School where she successfully graduated in 2004 and received a diploma in business administration. Subsequently, she earned an Associate’s Degree in Primary Education. Currently, Mrs. Martinez is enrolled at the University of Belize where she’s perusing a Bachelor’s Degree in Primary Education and aspiring to graduate this year (2021). Graduation will not conclude her education, rather she views her day-to-day experiences with students as an ongoing learning process.

She was born on a rainy day in January in Belize City but raised in Ontario Village, Cayo District. Her name is Indira Dedra Banner – Martinez.
Mrs. Martinez currently fills the post of a Standard II Class. Filling this post and being an educator is something she thoroughly enjoys. The fact that she is entrusted with the lives of awesome children is something she holds dear to her heart and takes pride in.
